Welcome to the Starksboro Sports Program Home Page

The Starksboro Sports Program is a volunteer based organization that provides recreational opportunities for Starksboro children in soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. Through our website we hope to provide you a glimpse of the many different faces that make the program possible and keep the balls rolling. You will also find sign up and schedule information that will help you to easily participate, stay informed and enjoy all athletics that are supported by our local Sports Program.

2009/10/04 - All October 7th games have been cancelled due to Robinson Elementary Open House.

2009/10/02 - A 2009 JAMFEST Organization Meeting will be held on Sunday October 4th, 6:00 P.M. at Robinson Elementary.

2009/09/06 - 2009 Soccer JAMFEST has been scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at Mt. Abe High School. Volunteers Welcome!

2009/08/29 - Due to complications we are going to move the meeting that was rescheduled for tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm back to its originally scheduled date of Sunday Sept.6 at 6:00pm at Cota Field. I apologize for any inconvenience or hassles in schedules. I will still plan to be at the field at 6:00 tomorrow night and will collect any sign ups if people want to drop them off. Please mark Oct 10 on your calendar for our annual Soccer Jamfest. If you are interested in coaching or helping to coach soccer this fall please call Don or Tom ASAP - We have a real need for a 5/6 boys coach.

2009/08/26 - Hi Everyone - It’s that time again where school starts up and so does sports. We hope everyone had a great summer and we are looking forward to another great year. Because of school starting next week and soccer needing to start right way we are going to change the Sept. meeting to this coming Sunday Aug. 30 at 6:00 pm at Cota field. Also we have started soccer sign ups, another sign up day is this Thursday at 5:00 pm at Cota Field. Have a great day and we will see you soon!!

2009/04/08 - Hello all. The Little League coaches meeting will be Thursday night April 9th at 7:00 P.M. in the large cafe at Mt Abe. Please, all coaches who are available please try to attend as we need a large presence from Starksboro. Potential umpires should also consider attending this meeting as rule changes and roster issues will be discussed. Thanks to all those who attended the last meeting it was a good crowd. Thanks Don/Tom.

2009/04/04 - This Sunday is our monthly meeting at Robinson School 6:15. We will be discussing Little League and the upcoming season. This meeting is mandatory for all potential coaches and assistant coaches! We need to get paper work completed. If you cannot make this meeting you need to let Tom or Don know prior to the meeting as we will be setting the season up based on numbers of players and coaches. Please pass this message on to any potential coaches, assistant coaches and umpires. If you do not get a background check filed with the league you will not be allowed to coach at all this season. We will also be taking any more late sign ups at this meeting so if you need to sign up we need it on Sunday. The league is going to have to combine some teams from multiple towns this season and we need to make sure we have enough players for each group. If you have not signed up by Sunday we may have to get some players from other towns and will not be able to guarantee a spot on the teams. A huge thanks to all who worked on the breakfast it was a big success this year. Thanks Scott for chairing the breakfast committee, great job.

The Annual Pancake Breakfast is a great event to help raise funds for the Starksboro Sports Program.

We are selling food and drinks at our home soccer games
to raise funds to support our sports program.

We are always in need of volunteers to help with this.

They're organizing and providing a nice service that helps put soccer balls on the fields. So, introduce yourself, buy a hot dog and say "thanks" and "what can I do to help?" next home game.
